Objectives of Eminent SIH 2024
The hackathon aimed to prepare students for the national-level Smart India Hackathon 2024 with the following objectives:
- Familiarize students with real-world software and hardware challenges.
- Evaluate solutions to problem statements from various organizations and ministries in India.
- Encourage analysis of problems from multiple perspectives to propose effective solutions.
- Prepare teams for the national Smart India Hackathon 2024.
The event successfully showcased the participants' enthusiasm and innovative approaches, with judges expressing confidence in their potential for national-level performance.
Significance
The hackathon provided students with invaluable experiences that enhanced their problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and creative thinking. It fostered a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, critical for developing both technical and collaborative skills.
Event Coordination
Organized by the Bachelor of Computer Application and Bachelor of Business Administration departments, the hackathon aligned with the directives from the Ministry of Education Innovation Cell-AICTE, IIC & IQAC cell to nurture innovation and problem-solving skills.
Ms. Arijita Das Bhowmick, the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the Smart India Hackathon 2024, highlighted the importance of this event as a nationwide effort to empower students to address real-life challenges, fostering a culture of product innovation and a problem-solving mindset.

The Eminent SIH 2024 was a significant step in nurturing student creativity and innovation, setting a strong foundation for participation in the national event.




Eminent College of Management and Technology successfully organized a health camp at Barbaria Junior High School on 11th September 2024 at 12 PM. The event featured free eye check-ups conducted by students of the BMLT (Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology) and B.Optometry programs, who volunteered their services to make the camp a success.
The health camp also provided free sugar and blood pressure testing to the local community. This initiative aimed to promote health awareness and ensure access to basic healthcare services for all.
A special highlight of the event was the presence of Dr. Piyeanku Mazumder, a distinguished guest who shared valuable insights on health and wellness with the attendees. The camp received an overwhelming response from the community, and its success would not have been possible without the dedication of the student volunteers and the support of Barbaria Junior High School.

Our Optometry Department has been a cornerstone of the community, providing comprehensive eye check-ups and specialized eye care services to the local population for the past five years. The addition of our new Research Centre marks a significant advancement in our mission to deliver exceptional eye care.
The EEC&RC is dedicated to pioneering research and innovative treatments in the field of optometry. With state-of-the-art facilities and a team of highly skilled professionals, the centre is poised to make significant contributions to eye care and research.
We are confident that the establishment of this Research Centre will enhance our capabilities and reinforce our commitment to improving eye health in the locality. We look forward to continuing our journey of excellence and innovation in eye care.
Smart India Hackathon 2024
SIH is a nationwide initiative designed to engage students in solving some of the most pressing challenges faced in everyday life. It provides a dynamic platform for students to develop and showcase their creative solutions to real-world problems. SIH bridges the gap between academic knowledge and practical application, promoting out-of-the-box thinking among young minds, particularly engineering students from across India. It allows students to showcase their skills and encourages collaboration with industry experts, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

Team Formation:
- Teams must consist of 6 members, including at least one, preferably two or more, female member(s).
- Team members must be of same institution.
- Teams may select mentors to guide them through the process.
- Please note team members cannot be changed after registration and one student should not be part of multiple teams.
Requirements:
- PPT Preparation: Teams must prepare a presentation in the prescribed SIH format Download PPT Format
- Implementation: An initial implementation of the solution is preferable.
- The same presentation that you present in internal hackathon will be submitted further.
- Judges may request additional features to be implemented during the internal hackathon. In such cases only resubmission of presentation will be allowed.

This report presents a comprehensive analysis of "Phoenix Innovate: Rising Ideas, Bright Futures," a collaborative event organized by the BBA and BCA departments of Eminent College of Management and Technology in conjunction with the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) under AICTE. Held on May 24, 2023, the event aimed to foster entrepreneurial spirit among students by providing a platform for the presentation of innovative business ideas. Students from both departments participated, collectively showcasing a diverse range of business plans integrating business acumen with technological solutions. The judging process, conducted by a panel of faculty members, evaluated presentations based on criteria such as novelty, feasibility, clarity, risk management, financial projections, and potential for sustainable growth, ensuring fair assessment and constructive feedback. The collaborative efforts of BBA and BCA students underscored the significance of interdisciplinary collaboration in driving innovation and entrepreneurship, enriching the academic experience and emphasizing the importance of synergy between business and technology for future success and growth in the field.
